Our Year 3/4 girls’ football team showed great tenacity in their recent Football Festival at Ashton St Peters School. All the girls played very well. Our goalkeeper, Immie made some fantastic saves and did not concede a goal in the first three games. In the fourth game, they were awarded a penalty and Jazmine stepped up to shootthe ball in the back of the net. Unfortunately, the other team also scored a goal, resulting in a 1-1 draw. In the last game, the girls came up against the overall tournament winners but only conceded two goals. They are a credit to themselves and the school.
The Year 3/4 boys’ team were also highly tenacious in their efforts during the football tournament the week before.
