Houghton Regis Primary School is a local authority funded primary school. Please note that admission arrangements for our Nursery and Reception classes are different. Please see the information below.
Children born between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2020 will be eligible to start at Houghton Regis Primary School Nursery from September 2023.
Children can begin nursery once they are three years old. We recommend making applications in advance of your child’s third birthday in order to secure a place at our nursery.

Nursery Admissions Policy Summer 2024
Children begin Reception once they are four years old. You will still need to apply for a place in Reception even if your child is attending our nursery.
You will need apply on-line at Central Bedfordshire Council School Admissions.

The deadline for completed applications for children beginning in Reception in September 2024 is 15 January 2024.

Applications for secondary school places for children in Year 6 open in September of each year.
Applications need to be made on-line by 31 October 2023. Please contact Central Bedfordshire Council Admissions if you have been unable to complete your application.
If you are moving into the area and wish to apply for a place at our school for your child(ren), please apply through Central Bedfordshire Council on 0300 300 8000. We cannot accept any new children into our school without confirmation of a place from Central Bedfordshire Council.
